Description
Common grackles (quiscalus quiscula) are in the passeriformes family and related to blackbirds. They have a beautiful glossy iridescent body and their eyes are unusual for birds in that rather than have a solid color eye, it is made of of two colors, almost looking like a human's eye. They form in huge flocks, especially in winter, with other grackles and blackbirds and can be very noisy as they chatter back and forth from the tops of trees. They will eat everything and can be a pest to farmers because of their love for corn.
