In the upstate of South Carolina, over in the north western corner, there is a farm where they raise highland cattle from Scotland. In the heat of the summer, the creek which runs through the property is a favorite place for the cattle to wander in and out of on the hot summer days. Beautiful animals, they are somewhat shy and will quickly gather into a group when a stranger peers over the fence at them. This one had been spending time in the creek and I was fortunate to capture him enjoying a cooling respite on a hot day.
