Description
A tufted titmouse (baeolophus bicolor) is a common year round bird in the eastern half of the United States. They are cavity dwellers and often can be seen at feeders with chickadees. This one is preening after a dip in the birdbath. Very comfortable around humans, they can be identified with their main song, which sounds like "peter, peter".
