A mixed media piece with bright pops of red. The collage includes a page from Shakespeare and a wonderful old print of mushrooms/toadstools on a highly textured background. As a child I was fascinated with stories of tiny little people populating a world where they could sit under a mushroom, or curl up for a nap in one that was inverted such as the tallest one.

When I became ill with a chronic illness that limited other areas of my life, God opened my eyes to the joy of seeing the details of the surrounding world, and photography was the language I used to share that beauty. Functioning physically at a higher level now, I have widened my expression to include other forms of art media and I love to explore the results. Seeing the beauty and humor in so many things and letting color be the overarching connection makes art a satisfying and joyful opportunity to share with others.
