A vintage image of Charles Dillon "Casey" Stengel taken in 1915 while he was wearing sunglasses and playing his position of right fielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He later became manager of the championship New York Yankees of the 1950s and later, the expansion New York Mets. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966. Casey Stengel had the nickname of "The Old Perfesser" (that is the correct spelling of his nickname).
When I became ill with a chronic illness that limited other areas of my life, God opened my eyes to the joy of seeing the details of the surrounding world, and photography was the language I used to share that beauty. Functioning physically at a higher level now, I have widened my expression to include other forms of art media and I love to explore the results. Seeing the beauty and humor in so many things and letting color be the overarching connection makes art a satisfying and joyful opportunity to share with others.
