Wild Daisy Fleabane in a grain field; the name for the wildflower comes from the mistaken belief that once dried, it could be scattered about the house to rid it of fleas. This wild daisy is a common plant found in fields and roadsides of the eastern US from June to October and it's a member of the sunflower family.This photo has been given a slight painterly finish. Taken on Laurel Bridge Road, upper Greenville county, South Carolina.
