Description
In the countryside of upstate South Carolina, old buildings such as this can be found abandoned and slowly being taken over by native plants. This old house with boarded door and windows is being crowned with the exuberant growth of a red trumpet vine. The trumpet vine is related to wild honeysuckle but don't try getting any nectar from it - it's poisonous! The red tin roof is fading and the building's story is locked up inside, but it firmly claims that once this place was important to a family, now lost to history.
